Default New best ET: 10.0@144 DA 7300ft

Hey Guys, First run off the trailer, the car ran a 10.08@144.69. That was the first run with the new 464ci. It ran 111.42 at half track. The DA was 7300ft. The track prep wasn't great. Two out of three runs, they had a mop out cleaning up some sort of spill right before I ran. My best 60' was only a 1.56. The car has run a 1.46/60. I just need more seat time and a little better track prep and it should go 9's up here. Some better air wouldn't hurt either. The last run was a 10.17@145.30 with a 1.61/60. I am happy about the first couple runs I got in. I just need to get the 60 ft's back in the 1.4's. It's still a ZF6 car.

Congrats on the run. That car is flying!!! Looking at your time slip, you had time to stop for a sandwich waiting on the other car!!

Congrats Jim. Good mph. It's Showing plenty of HP.

You need to get it working in the front half and it will go 9s easily.

My 84 went 9.43@144mph with a 1.31 60ft back when I was sorting it out... so you have the power, just need to hook it up better.

What kind of clutch and rear gear do you have? I ran the hell out of a 91 and went through a few clutches in 1.5 years playing with it.

That motor is putting out some power Jim. With good conditions, you should be able to knock over a half second off your time. That is some top speed! Congratulations on the monster. Willie

A lot of you guys already know my set up. But it's a 464 tall deck, 12.25 compression, Crane 256/264 solid roller, AFR 245's and a Miniram ported by Tony Mamo. It has a 200 shot of nos, McLeod dual disc clutch, ZF6 speed, Ford 9" with a 4 link.

Here's my 145mph pass the first round of bracket racing. They had the mop out cleaning up a spill right before I ran in my lane. It was a close race.

That's RMR!

Un real time's Jim! You're running about where Highpockets has run w/his stick-shifted, TT C5. That is a hell of an engine.

I agree with the post that pondered performance at sea level.

Yeah that was with the spray. I probably have the worst possible combo for bracket racing, a stick shift nitrous car!
