Default what material to make intake hose?

I spent about an hour surfing the net and in Lowes to find a way to make this work. I don't mind cutting up my air box but I can't fit a circular tube and have the hood close. It also needs to flex. I am right on the edge of taking 4" brake cooling ducting and just letting it smash under the hood.

I run a 58mm tb and map so don't need this restrictive MAF sensor in this stock setup. It has to be 4" to feed the 58mm. 3 inch wont cut cfm requirement, and 3.5 is pushing it. Better to be too big than too small.

Only one I've heard so far was the traffic cone idea. There has to be that same material sold in stores or from summit. I just don't know what to call it. I only have Lowes here in my town and it sucks. Sewer coupling is the best I've found but they don't make it in long sections.

Doesn't Auto Zone sell some universal CAI kits? Maybe you can chop up one of those.

that looks closer to what I need. I still think the transition to the airbox will be tough. If I thought the air exit from the air box was sufficient this would be easy, but I can tell it isn't even close. I'm surprised it is sufficient for the stock setup. If you look at the actual diameter of the inside of the exit it is about 2.5"!!! so restrictive.

So I'm thinking I cut the exit back about 3 inches till it widens up then seal one of those 4" couplers to it. Then this winter I can come back and just make my own aluminum box or something. I didn't see anything even close to what you have pictured at orileys or advanced auto but I didn't check autozone yet. It seems all our stores never carry anything I need. I order almost exclusively through summit.
