1986 corvette acceleration problem
I just purchased 1986 corvette. Am having problem with acceleration. Car starts and runs fine until slow down for a lite or traffic, then when step on accelerator acts like not getting fuel bogs down. When take foot off accelerator will maintain speed, but will not pick up speed again. Pull over and shut off, restart will accelerate and pick up speed until have to slow down again then same thing again. Sometimes will pick up speed if push accelerator slowly but rapid acceleration nothing.

Any other issues noted? A clogged cat could cause a distinct loss of power.

welcome to the forum.....1st...get a fsm....gm...e bay is best place...
then, check the basics....tps/timing.....are you throwing any codes?...

Check your fuel pressure, should be about 40lbs at idle. Since you probably don't know when the fuel filter was last changed, I would suggest replacing it.
Does the "Service Engine Soon" light ever come on ?
