I took a little road trip to a local salvage yard, I wanted to switch my carpeting from red to black. Jason and TJ (the owners) are real nice and knowledgeable and they have lots of cool Vette parts. I picked up some good condition black carpet set and a stock filter lid.

It amazing to see the dead Vettes, you have to wonder how folks total thier Vettes :confused:

I recommend checking them out, they have everything from Dana36 with 3.07 gears to hoods and sunroofs, Vette2Vette, 815-287 9878.

I think they're just down the street from you. They're 3.5 miles west on Grand Ridge Rd from 47. Give them a call, they love walk-ins. I was able to look over the parts before I purchased.

They have lots of LT1 dual exhausts for you L98 guys, slightly used tires/wheels, lots of interior parts, you think of it, they probably have it.

BTW, I have dibs on the next spare tire delete brace, so don't even try :)

Ok I called them. Here are the directions They are in Varona Illinois. Take 55 south to I80 West then get off at Hwy 47 (Morris Exit) Head south on 47 10 miles to Mazon Illinois. Go to Grand Ridge Rd (a flashing stop) Turn right on Grand Ridge 3 miles to there yard. Takes about 1 hour from the city or 30 mins from Joliet.

What Nice People. I called to see if they had a part I was looking for and they did. The lady even called me later to make sure I was not on my way because they were closing early. They seem very nice.

I'll give them a thumbs up also. I order an ABS module from TJ "really nice lady and she makes every effort to help". However I received an ABS pump. There was a little confusion on terminology. They like to refer to the ABS pump as a module and the EBCM "electronic brake control module" as the computer. After receiving the wrong part I called back and spoke to them and they promptly shipped me the correct part. I'm I happy camper now and I highly recommend them. :) :)

I just got off the phone with them. I put in a parts request and they called me back. Great price on the parts and they will guarantee the parts. I'll let you know as soon as the parts get here if they are as good as they promised.

OK got the electronic AC control head installed today and all is good again!!! The Part worked perfectly!! While They had the whole console out I had the auto shifter cleaned and oiled and thats working better too. I will now contact Vette 2 Vette before I buy anything from my dealer. This really saved me tons of $$$$$ :cool:
