I installed one about a year and a half ago. I bought it from Dewitts directly at that time.

I'm very happy with it! it did take some minor trimming of both the upper cooling shroud at the 3/8 nipple, and the rubber mounts had to be trimmed 1/8 inch inboard. Very easy and simple..

three year ago direct from Dewitts, as stated above it is a great piece and very easy install.

If this is for a car that is running "hot" make sure you don't have trash between the A/C condenser and it.

I have visited with Tom DeWitt and he explained to me that his cooler, which is USA made and totally in house would help with the cooling problem I have with my 88 verte. I live in Az and summertime is a killer for Vettes. 235-240 degrees is not unusual and then you still have to shut the a/c off if you are stuck in traffic. I haven't the money now, but when I do I am going to try a DeWitt rad and see how much difference it makes.

I bought mine directly from DeWitts. I couldn't find a better price anywhere else.

I have the single row version and it came with new rubber mounts that were already sized correctly.

Biggest PITA was to take the radiator out and put the new one in without denting anything but it fit well and no leaks or any other issues.

Great radiator but it will Prob still run hot regardless due to the extreme temps. A 160 stat with reprogramming the fans should help with the temps during traffic but not on the highway. As mentioned before make sure that area is cleaned of any debris.
When I lived in NY, the Dewitt's rad was just a few degrees cooler than stock (95 LT1) I have the stock system with a 180 stat. I just moved down to Florida so I'll have to see how the summers are in regard to my temps. I'm running around 200-205 highway now but outside temps are 77-84 degrees.

It's not just running cooler that's the only difference with these radiators compared to the stock unit.. It's how fast it cools down when the fan comes on , or when you pull away from a stop light..The coolant tempertures in my car come down about twice as fast with my Dewitt's radiator as they did with my stock radiator..... I would have to say putting a Dewitt's radiator in my 89 with the 383 engine is probably the best mod I have done on my car so far........WW

Im going to go to the dual core plus install an auxilliary fan in front of radiator as soon as i can figure out how to mount it. shouldnt be to much of a problem --i dont have an a/c condensor so i have lots of room to play with--- my problem is only in stop and go traffic--- no problems at all once i get it rolling at a decent speed

You can mount an auxiliary switch for the fans so when in traffic you turn the fans on

I have the single core DeWitt's on a stock engine with the spal fans, works great. Last year in a 12 mile traffic jam which lasted for over 3 hours caused engine to heat up and fans came on at the stock settings and functioned as they should.

I forgot to mention that installation was fairly easy as I had the complete housing an shroud out of the car. An extra set of hands would be helpful in aligning things up and putting the unit back in the car. This was on a '93 lt1.

I thought the DeWitts was the best ever, then after a year it developed a leak, bad weld. Good radiator, hardly anyone has had problems, but I did and DeWitts wasnt interested in helping me so I scrapped it. There is an alternative. Champion makes a decent 3 core aluminum radiator for only $209.00 and it has given me no issues at all. Look them up.

Been nothing but happy with mine. Easy install, superior cooling.

It might actually cool too well now...takes a while to get the heat cranking now that it's getting colder!

I installed one when they first came out about 2 years ago. Nice unit but required a good bit of trial fits getting the rad to fit properly. I also needed to get a thicker foam spacer to fill gap at the top of the unit between core and shroud. I hate plastic tanks because they all fail. Works great, cools down quickly as noted above but the engine over temp is governed more by your T-stat and when you fans come on when you are sitting in traffic.
