I run 65 cc AFR 195 Eliminator heads on 93 octane. 1985 has pretty low compression at 9:1. Mine is 10:1 now on my 1985 so if it were me I would be looking to increase the compression ratio if I'm changing the heads. I also have a 0.028" thick head gasket and 0.052" quench. My total timing at 35 degrees and I have no detectable spark knock on 93 octane.
I think people have had good results using AFR 180 Eliminator heads with TPI intakes so you may want to do some research on that if it's within your budget.

Btw what did you set the timing base with timing plug unplug I have mine set at 8 withtiming plug unplug could I up.it a tad like the foxbodys to gain little more out of.it in stock form ?

Mine is set at 6*. I changed the timing in the tune. How ever all I did was increase every number at WOT by the same amount so at WOT it would be equivalent to setting base timing at 11*.
I gotta warn you, this does get expensive. If you wanna go fast with a nice bit of torque you can copy my set up. If you want a lot of torque but be a little slower than you can build with your TPI intake.
Here's a link to my dyno results and my combo should be posted somewhere in the replies.

That comes out to about 405 hp and 405 tq at the crank with a 15% drive train loss.

Not really hard to tune. It's just there's not many people who know what they're doing. I tuned mine just fine. After I had a lot of advice from people on the forum. If you copy my set up I can just email you my tune and you can burn it to a chip and install it in your ECM.
