Default Corvette engine in Z28

I'm an old gear head who retired a couple of years ago and I had a project just kinda fall in my lap. I acquired a 1993 Z28 in mint "garaged" condition with a spun bearing in the motor. I just purchased a 1993 corvette LT1 engine (87k miles) to go back in the car. Needless to say I have a few questions. I do have both complete harnesses and pcu's. I think I can use all the Z28 wiring and pcu along with EPROM from corvette pcu , I would love some input!

IMO, you can use the corvette engine, Camaro harness, ECM, and PROM (chip) as well. They're functionally the same engine.

One thing I have noticed is the engine accessories (ac) is on opposite side of engine, it will need to be moved and the fuel rail needs to be changed, Vette fuel inlet is on pass side and z28 is on drivers side. Does anyone know if there is any difference in fuel rail covers on 92-93 Vette and the 94-96 model lt1's?

I just got through my learning experience with LT1's. Turns out the 93 corvette I bought has a 95 impala lt1 shortblock which has a milder cam.
Your luck is a bit better than mine. The camaro lt1 has a 2 bolt main. The corvette has a 4 bolt. Otherwise the longblocks are identical. Cams and heads, etc.
I'd keep the wiring and ecm with the vehicle it came with. The camaro front accessories are on opposite sides.

I would like to use the corvette fuel rail covers on the engine, I am missing drivers side cover, I see a lot of '94-96 covers for sale, will they work on a '93?

Also if I recall, don't the LT1 F bodies have an oil cooler? Would there need to be some sort of "block off" for it?

Guys thanks for the replies! I believe I have found a set of original fuel rail covers for my engine, so things are progressing!

The engine swap is complete and all is working fine, now I want to test corvette EPROM in my z28 computer!

My old 97 Z28 (LT1) did not have an oil cooler, and I doubt the rest did.
