Dynaspark wiring help
I am in the process of installing A dynaspark. The unit is bolted in place and the spark plug wires are connected. The wiring harness to the opti is glued to the Dynaspark. In the instructions it references repinning the harness. However on my car I can't tell what I need to repin; the wiring may have been changed prior to me getting the car. Anyhow, is it the harness right in the middle of the two banks of injectors or what? Here's a pic.

Hey Wayne,
Thanks for chiming in. The grey harness in the picture is the dynaspark harness. The prior owner had it on a Camaro. I'm not sure where it plugs into; I don't see any 4 wire harnesses in the area described by the instructions. The instructions say "there will be a gray 4 pin connector near the passenger side front two injectors." I'm not seeing that one.
There is the black harness on the side of the manifold in between the two sets of injectors but that appears to be a 6 pin; 3 tall by 2 deep. That connector is rectangular.

What year is the car? The FSM in the "component wiring" should ID for you the vicinity and connector location of everything on the car when new. From that you could likely determine if the PO changed anything at all.
THE YEAR?
Check the 8A201 section of book 2 for component connectors for most years. A later LT1 I thought might have had "pull to seat" connector and that wouldn't match their instructions.
The connector in your snapshot certainly appears correct to me and doesn't look like 6. It's also correctly bracketed, it looks to be maybe "pull to seat" also.
What are the wire colors in the connector?

I think the black connector with the metal tab bolted to your intake is the optispark breakout connector. It looks like it is the six pin for a 1992. 1993 on were 4 pin like the grey connector on your dynaspark. You have to get that 4 pin connector to mate with that 6 pin connector. Did they give you an extra 4 pin or 6 pin connector shell to repin? I think MSD sells an adapter harness to convert from the 6 pin to a 4 pin, to make jobs like this snap in. Or maybe grab one off an old caprice in a junkyard.

I was wrong. Not MSD:

I think EFI Connection has one available too...

Hi guys. So efi connection has the adapter harness that is specific to the 92's. They went from a 5 wire in 92 to a 4 wire on the 93 and on. The harness runs $35 + shipping. Now I just have to setup and extend the vent line to my air filter before my supercharger.

I'll add for future reference for others that either one of these vendors can supply the harness. Msd does not and has not stocked them since before 2009.
