Default Good AN fuel line kit for miniram....what does yours look like?

After a couple of attempts at a break in start of my engine, I have sprayed 93 all over the garage, and myself. So I'm looking to piece together a nice AN fuel line setup that is 10/10 dependable and safe in the vicinity of 1-3/4 headers. Ihave TPIS fuel rails with the feed and return lines going into the back of the rails.

I haven't given this area a lot of thought (didn't think I'd still have the car) but the return line is 5/16 and the feed is 3/8. For the 5/16 line, some type of double female coupler that is sized and threaded for the 5/16 fitting on one end and 3/8 on the other side so I don't have to hunt different sized lines and fittings? Share your advice and pics.

Also fuel rails have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator on the back, are these prone to leaks? It wiggles so I don't know if there's a reseal kit for it or not. At this point I'm so paranoid about fuel leaks that I'm trying to eliminate another episode so I can start the damn car already.

I replaced the lines in the car from the fuel filter forward, modeled after the LT1.. so they came up the Heater box side, then to Braided to the miniram.. I doubt I have any good pictures, I would have to do some searching for them

coming up from the fuel filter can make life easier,
(dont worry about the master cylinder, imagine its a heater box, also my in line now goes into the other fuel rail)

you can buy filter and return line fittings from Summit and others,
you can get other sizes too.

Im not sure about the crossover in the mini ram setup being next to the fuel regulator ? Do you have a picture of yours as it is now ?

Not a great pic but its all I have. Its 6AN teflon core. Braced to the frame so it cant get to the headers. I think you need a 6 AN to 18mm adapter on the pressure side and a 6 AN to 14mm (16mm) on the return side.

That's exactly the same issue for me: rear exit combined with a stock style big cap distributor. Makes for very limited space and not ready to cough up $300+ for a small cap distributor. I'll have to look into the sizes you mentioned. The blue and red pieces are pretty pricey so I 'd hate to get the wrong sizes. Summit has a "kit" for about $90 and only 3ft of line.

I don't know about a kit.

Correct me if I'm wrong I'm not sure on the year it changed.
When I was looking into fittings IIRC LT1 cars need 2 16mmx1.5 O-Ring adapters, and non-LT1 need 1 14mmx1.5 O-Ring, and 1 16mmx1.5 O-Ring.
I don't have any part numbers.

The returns are 16mm not 14mm. My 87 had a filter in the return line next to the filter on the pressure side. I removed the return filter and adapted the 6AN lines at that location. Your 85 probably has a fitting there also. The Mini should already have 6AN fittings to hook up to.

The best thing is to hook up down at the fuel filter and return line down on the frame.

LT1's have both 16mm O-Ring fittings... but some earlier cars have (1) 14mm O-ring and (1) 16mm O-Ring fittings.

Accel PN 74730 has (1) 16mm to 6AN and (1) 14mm to 6AN adapter each for the early cars that need them. Cheap at $27.00

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ac...jmzBoCAoTw_wcB

Accel PN 74721 has (2) 16mm to 6AN adapter fittings for later LTX cars. Again cheap at $30.00

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/acc-74721/overview/

You can also buy the individual adapter fittings from Russell, Aeroquip, ect.....

http://www.summitracing.com/search?S...%20to%206%20AN

As for the AN hoses.... -6AN is what fits those adapter fittings.....

I usually build my own (except for nitrous lines)..... But to make things real easy - You can buy these pre-built crimp end fitting hoses, already assembled in various lengths, with straight or 45* or 90* ends.... whatever you need.... just measure from the back of the fuel rail/regulator, dpwn to the fuel filter location following the path that works best and buy the right length hose.

Here is the selection of -6AN pre-assembled hoses. Like $20-$50 each depending on length.

Damn, rkless, you're the man! It's so weird to drop in the motor, trans, rear end, and everything else on this car on my own and hit a brick wall like this. Literally 8 feet worth of lines between the feed and return line. It's THE last thing stopping a start of the motor. I think I'm just burned out after all the money, cut up fingers, and sweat over this thing.

I will go through those links.
