It is possible to jump the pins at the ALDL but i forget which ones . Do a search. There is alot of info on this believe it or not. You also need to fix the root cause cause i reset mine and it came right back. Its usually rust under the impact sensors but in my case it was a disconnected plug from swapping columns.
