Default exaust manifold fitting

the air fitting on the center of my exhaust manifolds have got to go with the air pump and egr assemblys. I already have them programed out (92lt1) Does anyone know the size of that fitting so I can find a plug. Is it pipe thread or standard bolt thread and what size?? I know I could cut the pipe off and weld it shut but id like to keep the assembly complete in case Michigan gets a case of the CA smog police Thanks a bunch.

that size is 7/8-18 threads. dorman # 65231, need 1 for each side and I believe it is a oil pan drain plug for a dodge truck.

If they're 7/8-18 thread then I believe I'd buy 5/8 INV FLARE plugs to do the job correctly. Those should seal correctly and if I'm correct you should be able to look at what you've removed and see that it resembles an INV FLARE. You should also I'd think be able to look into the manifold and see the sealing surface. The INV FLARE does the correct sealing so if you wanted to go back you wouldn't have to deal with deterioration of the threaded bore.

If you needed to shop these locally they could be referred to a -10 if you were shopping a Parker vendor.

** I checked with a jobber that I'd customarily buy from and I don't see the offering. Is there? Maybe.

Also for future reference, an oil pan drain plug for a 5.9 Cummins 12v or 24v is an exact fit.
