Default New battery installed question???

For you Corvette gurus that work on your own cars, how hard is it to install a new battery in a 1994 coupe? Any tricks I need to know?

Very easy to replace the battery if you have a good set of tools.

if a 94 is comparable to a 86, it's fairly easy. Biggest issue is getting the lower panel off the car. You need to watch the lowest bolt to insure the panel mounting tab is above the washer on the bolt. The rest is simply unbolt, change and reassemble.

For the lower bolt (which you can only see by looking in the gap) you need a thin 10mm wrench. If yours doesn't fit, but a cheap one and just grind it down. You just have to loosen that bolt, and then the gill panel slides out, assuming the rest of the bolts are already out.
Do not try to pull the battery without removing the gill panel.

Thank you for your reply, I changed the battery in about 30 minutes. Before I took the top bolt out, I marked where it was originally so I could put it back in the same position. Then the bottom of the gill panel fell right into place.
