Will it pass emissions if I?
I live in a emissions state and want to up the H.P. of my 95. If I put in a hot cam and 1.6 rockers will it still pass emissions? Has anyone done this and passed the test? If not what can I do?
Thanks.
Goose.

What test does the state use. I have found the IM240 the hardest to pass (dyno test with a driving cycle). Simple 15 and 25 mph tests are easier.
All will require an outstanding tune to being it back into compliance with any state tail pipe emissions laws.

Many states 95 under is exempt. as you mentioned, your state is required. You would really want a PCM tune for maximum performance. A good tunner could easliy make it pass. The factory settings are good enough. But many tables are lacking real performance. After i retune my cars - they smell awesome. My WideBand is very happy.

In Ga. 25 years old is the cut off. With a good tune and well thought out upgrades you should be fine. 91 with P&P headers aftermarket cats custom tune 500hp and still pass Ga emissions.

I am not sure what test they use. I did not know there was different tests. Does anyone know where to get a good tune around the Nashville, TN area? I am thinking about the hot cam, rockers and long tube headers. About what should that bump my H.P. to? Thanks for any advice or help

Coming from NY which had tough emissions testing I was concerned about the Florida tests. I quickly found out no inspections or emissions testing in Florida and was happy to get rid of the front plate.
You should be able to pass the emissions with your modifications.
I agree with 383 Admiral in the above post.
