Default Analog temperature sensor.. no effect on ECM?

I know my analog temperature guage reads low, this only controls the dash temp gauge and has no effect on the ECM, right?

1990 base

I know its not a terrible job to change, just messy.

If you've got run problems the sender for the dash cluster doesn't have anything at all to do with ECM function. If the dash cluster reads low and the engine is actually running as cool as it seems there could be run issues. Typically in a C4 Corvette cool engine temps don't exist.

Yep, got two. Love the sound of cooling fans. Thanks
