Rough idle mostly fixed
1989 automatic, 49000 miles, stock
I have had a rough idle condition for over 2 years, which is how long I have owned car. I did every thing I knew to do, and replaced parts I thought would help. Did all the tune up stuff and used FSM for every thing, yet the idle remained rough. Thanks to researching on this forum I found a solution I re-gaped all my plugs (FR5LS) from .035 to .045. Because of the way I am, it will never be perfect, but the idle is so much better now, and runs great up to at least a 100. I would not go any faster
Great forum and great people, you just have to have a little bit of thick skin every once in a while
