Default Question about dash lights in my 1985 Corvette

I just bought a cluster for my C4 and everything on the cluster works great! With the exception of two of the four dash light bulbs. Take a look at the pic below:

I have already used the amazing search function and know how to replace the bulbs and sockets, but they question is, can I use bulbs and sockets out of a C3 Corvette? I have a few "parts" clusters from the 78-82 Corvettes ,and the twist type bulb sockets are almost identical. The only difference is the diameter of the bulb and also the way they go into the socket. Here is a pic below:

Here is the C3 socket

So the question I have is can I use the C3 bulbs/sockets in place of the ones that came with the C4? I mean they both were attached to circuit boards, so there is no fitment issues. I am mostly worried about the heat produced from a bigger bulb. What do you guys think?

Sorry for the long post, I just think it would be cool to fix the dash lights for $0.

The C3 bulbs will work in your dash. The originals are halogen and get pretty hot so you probably won't have a problem.

I couldn't read the bulb number so I can't comment further.

They are stock for a C3 corvette, which probably means the bulb is not as bright. Maybe one day I will switch to LED bulbs

I switched to LED. I really like them. Plenty bright enough to see the dash well in the daytime.
