Default Bad ignition coil

I have replaced cap rotor plugs ignition coil. The car was sputtering when shifting it felt like a back fire ...so I replaced the coil a second time it worked for about 400 mile and it started again this time I replaced it with a mds ignition coil and it's working for now ....what would cause the coil to go so quickly

Default a bad wire?

A spark with nowhere to go is tough on coils. Run the engine in complete darkness and look for a steady spark jumping out somewhere.

Since your new here....it is important that you state the year of your car...it makes a difference in the answers you will receive.

Make sure you have the ground strap on the coil, and that it's making good contact...WW
