Default Oil Pressure Gauge

On my 94 the oil pressure gauge stayed rock solid and reads well until the car warms up to temp (i.e. 200 degree oil temp) then it fluctuates about 5 psi. The oil pressure stays around 40 psi when driving down the road at 1500 rpms but will occasionally jump between 35 to 45 and kinda of bounce between. I figured it's not the oil pump since they either work or not and I figured the sensor would act up throughout the whole range no just when its up to temp. Any ideas?

Thanks guys!
