Default Getting my 84 a new home

Hello Fellas'
It's been a couple of years since I've been here, and also that long since I've driven my baby !
Well she's been in the garage that long and my nephew asked
me that instead of her being garaged if I would sell him the car
I thought about it for a couple of days and decided to sell him my
baby, it was a hard decision because she gave me a lot of pleasure!
While getting her ready for him everything was working great except
for one thing which is that when I depress the gas pedal fast she feels
like she's going to die down!
I tried this a few times and the same thing happens, does anyone
here know what could be causing this problem?
Don't forget that she's been garaged for two years.
any help from the members will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.....Poncho
P.s..... She deserves someone to enjoy her like I did, instead of being
abandoned in the garage.

A basic question as you said its been sitting for a few years has the fuel? since Corvettes have a very easy gas tank to get into I would siphon off some gas making sure to hit the lowest point in the tank. check fuel quality and see if its full of crud or water. If there is crud or water in the tank, pull the sending unit and thoroughly clean out the tank and change the fuel filter.

If the fuel is good take the air cleaner cover off start up the car and look at the Injectors (I love that part of 84s) see if the injectors are fueling, rev it a bit see if it drops off, if it does change the fuel filter.

That fairly clears the Fuel system, after that you would dive into the Ignition System, coil, see if the knock sensor working, see if the advance is jumping when raved up . give these basics a try.
