Default Where to find 1996 tire pressure sensor/sender

My friend asks "I have a 1996 that a tire place destroyed the tire pressure sensor/sender. Its color coded yellow for left year and is held in place with a stainless steel band. I can't find PN from GM and appears its not available from anyplace. Any help?"

Thanks in advance corvette brothers/sisters.. my 1971 doesn't have these issues so I can't help him

GM # 10161854 would be correct for the left rear '93+ Corvettes BUT you want to ID by the number on the label not only the color. The earlier LR was also YELLOW. They become available here in the WTB/PFS from time to time, eBay and local on Craigslist. You might post a WTB for your friend.

In your WTB you might mention your location. It's always god to exchange parts "toe to toe", an exchange of $$'s for part, a hand-shake and a parting "WAVE".

I've got a set of late model C4 LTPWS sensors complete with bands and counterweights that I'm selling. There's an extra band too. Shoot me an IM if interested.

Default Tire pressure sensor:

I have 1996 I'm curious if any newer model tire sensors produced by GM could work?

NO - BUT there are after-market packages that can display temperature and pressure of individual wheels on a monitor OR an iPhone, Android also I believe. That package is about the price of an OE band style for a single wheel. If I needed I believe that's the way I'd be inclined to consider.

Is anybody aware of anywhere to get a sensor repaired? Dealer whacked my RF, Blue, 10161855. They bought a salvage replacement, which gets the dash light to go out but will come back on within 3 to 5 miles and will stay lit until next start. I still have my whacked unit.
