sealed ball joints.
i know oem had zerks.
i recently discovered while replacing my pads and rotors that my upper and lower balljoints were toasted. no movement but the boots are shot. no idea how long they have been like that so i am going to assume they are contaminated and will in short order fail.
price for replacements VARIES WIDELY.
is there any reason in 2015 not to install the sealed units in our cars? they come standard on most new cars and is there anything special about the vettes that would make me not want to put in sealed units as replacements? I have found a set of sealed ball joints for $100 for all 4.
anybody tried sealed ball joint units?

Zerk fittings or not, I would go with good quality parts. I have used MOOG pieces and they have worked very well on my '87 autocross/HPDE car. Ball joints and tie rod ends take a lot of punishment in these events especially with sticky tires.
There are replacement boots available made from a polyurethane material and they work better than the OEM rubber boots. Especially with the high heat generated from hard braking.
