93 40th Anniversary door hatch locked HELP!

Default 93 40th Anniversary door hatch locked HELP!

as you can see from the picture





my drivers side door hatch is locked the lock and unlock buttons do work, (2 days ago my alarm kept going off everry 30-45min neighbors kept calling leasing officd and complaing all odd hours of the night as well if this helps with any diagnostics of this problem) what do i do to fix this? please help!


oh and i noticed it right when i hopped in the car to shut my door and it didnt shut. it recoiled because it locked hopefully that didnt do any more damage....

Insert a tool of some sort and often your finger will work and pull on the latching device while lifting the handle to release. Unless you've demolished the latch internally it certainly should release I'd think.

a little cleaning would not hurt either.

Cleaning never hurts BUT I believe the resolution the OP used in his snapshot needs to be considered. I believe the latch is in nowhere near the condition you guys seem to imply. Take a new look and consider "THE RESOLUTION".

Got it fixed pulled the handle from inside(made sure the door was unlock from the inside latch and pulled the lock to the unlocking position. Very easy. oh and yes havent found the time to clean. Very busy at the body shop!

Ahh, just spray some more WD40 on it to help it collect more dirt and move yet!!!
