Code 43 and 45 1993 LT-1
Hi,
About 3 months ago, the SES started coming on. The SES now comes on every once in a while and has Codes 43 and 45 stored.
43 - ESC Circuit - knock sensor issue?
45 - Left O2 Sensor Rich - misfiring plug?
I had a 'performance' chip in it when the codes first appeared. So, I changed the chip back to the stock one and the SES went out. It came on (and off) again during a long trip I took this past weekend.
With the SES on, the car runs ok - no missing that I could feel - but gas mileage shows a few mpg lower.
Looking for info about these codes and cures before I start throwing parts at it.
The car is a 93 auto with 130k on it. Runs great except for the pesky SES on the display. I've had it for about 2 1/2 yrs and don't know if O2 sensors or plugs have ever been replaced by the previous owner. That's where I was going to start.
Thanks for any help or info.
