Any updates on the Newman 44 housings?
Need to rebuild my dana44 again over the winter. I knew my Trutrac was getting noisy back in 2013, and I took 2014 off from racing, and made 7 events this year, and the last race it was real noisy! Only went thru one set of halfshaft spicer ujoints this season. My Summers brothers stub axles are holding up good, and I'm not going solid rear.
So since my original housing looks like frankenstein with the welds and gouges inside I'm thinking of getting a new housing. The prices of the used ones are close to the Newman one. Looking at a New housing with a new TruTrac (since they last longer than the reg posi) and all the guts. So the Newman's holding up?

..... I have had one in my car for two or three years with a True Trac ... the Newman housing is just fine , never had an issue with it ...
