1987 C4 How do you remove the passenger side carpet under the dash?
Hi
I want to remove the passenger side carpet under the dash to get to the turn signal flasher. The hush panel came out pretty easy, but I do not understand what holds the carpet in.
Also, can I get to the flasher from above by removing the dash pad??

The carpet does not come off. That's solid under it. You have to drop the black plastic (hush) panel and crawl under and look up. Easier if you take the seat out if you are not 150 Lbs

The carpet is glued to a plastic piece. I don't remember how to get it out. It's quite obviously gone in this picture of my car after I did a heater core replacement:
The turn signal flasher is WAY up in there. You should be able to see it from the bottom. I took this picture with the "bread loaf" removed:
