Default 1989 heater core replacemaent

I know this has been posted before and I have the fastway method to look at but I have to remove the dashpad anyway to install some speakers so I just want to know what the procedure is when removing the dashpad.I have it off and I just don't see how this helps me.Do I have to remove the entire dash? What about just removing the ductwork and the ecm box? Will that help gain access to the heater core?

If you take out the ECM it will allow you to get to the top two screws that hold the heater core enclosure to the duct. Otherwise you have to feel around until you find those screws.

I allredy removed the ecm but I was wondering if removing the ecm holder and the top ductwork would help access the top screws from the top.

I removed that white box that holds the ECM so I could stick my hand in from the top to help guide the socket underneath to that top left bolt.
