94 headlights died??
Just bought a 94 convertible and when driving home the headlights flipped up how they should, one motor has the tipical knocking from worn out bushings but still works.
However, got home parked the car for 3 days and when I went to fire it up battery was dead (door lights in the back didn't shut off and drained it) charged up battery and now everythings good except the headlights motors don't do anything. I have to manually wind em up and down to drive at night, lights still work.
I did notice that there is an occasional clicking sound from the relay thing on drivers said next to radiator, that's where the wires from headlight run. There isn't a fuse correct? What should I look at? Crazy how it all worked perfect and then suddenly both quit.
Thanks for the help guys

might want to look at the fuseable links behind the battery and clean the block while your in there

So I have been working on the car, the clicking sound is coming from the headlight module that's located in the front left corner of the car.
Checked the voltage of the 2 red wires and one yellow, both the reds have 12.2 volts but the yellow was showing 11.6, would that cause them to not kick on?

you have to pull the battery out to see them. the fuseable links look like orange wires and you will see the block with hot wires to it clean it good. you might be getting 12v untill it gets a load.

I assume you charged the battery with both cables attached to the car.
With a charged up battery, just try this for the heck of it.
Remove one battery cable from the terminal for a minute or two. Then connect the cable back to the battery. Then try the headlights.

Thanks for that image, still haven't been able to find the problem, going to try tapping in to that yellow wire with a good 12v battery and seeing if it's just needing more juice. I opened up the control module and traced all the solders and stuff, nothing was burned or looked bad.
I'll do what you suggested with the battery first though, that would be a nice easy fix.

I found the cause, I played with the dash light dimmer switch and the headlights started working, really weird/random. So if it acts up again I'll just replace that switch.
Thanks for all the help guys!

It says to not repair just replace but where I grew up you had to open up all those things and make do with what you had. It pops open pretty easily, just get a small flat head screw driver and wedge it in those little snaps on the side and pry her open

Not surprised where you ended up. I have fixed lots of switches in the same way you're doing. The headlight modules seem to hold up well.
