Nope, but you do have to drop the pan to replace the timing cover gasket. You may have to rotate the crank to get the pan out. Or you can jack up the front of the engine. Overall not a bad job. Just make sure you clean all surfaces before reassembling. Pay special attention to where you sit the pan bolts after removing them. Finally, if you have any desire to replace your plug wires, now is a good time. With the pan out, you have access to driver's side optispark connections.
