That sure is a perdy engine! Just seems too complicated to start modding :D

That would make a sweet conversion to be dropped in a regular LT car!

93 was the 1st year for the 405 HP cars if I'm not mistaken.

The '94 and '95 cars had the same engine, that's why there are 448 for '93,448 for '94,and 448 for '95.

GM took what LT5's that were left, took a few out for warranty replacements and then divided the remainder by three, that's how you get 448 for each of the three years.

Gordon Kilibrew said yesterday that the last LT-5 rolled off the line in Stillwater in November of 1993 and all the motors were put into oiled plastic bags until they were needed for assembly. So actually, all the '94 and '95 had 1993 production motors. That should confuse some people when they look at a '93 engine build date on a '95 ZR-1.

I think the input shaft on the ZF-6 is different for the LT5.

Close...... the unit in ZR-1s is specific to the car and unlike those used behind L98s, LT1s or LT4s. The difference is in the bellhousing length and the input shaft length. Also there are two different units used in the ZR-1: 1990-93 1/2 and 1993 1/25-95
