Is that when the noise started that might have been some good info. A friend put a pad in backwards before. Still brings a tear to my eye and have not let him forget it yet.

Noise started awhile ago. Made a squeaking sound at first so I replaced the bearing. It still made the same noise after I did that but I kind of just ignored it. Made the noise at slow speed reverse and forward. Started making a grinding popping noise so I replaced the pads and rotor. Now it's like this. Sorry for the angle. Hard to video while watching the road. Only happens when accelerating and only at more than 1/4 throttle.

Did you roll your tire around when it was off? And lub your calipers

Like roll it around by itself? Not really I rolled it about 2 feet to get it out if the way and then I laid it down. Where should I lube them?

can you block the front wheels, jack the backend, USE MULTIPLE JACKSTANDS, and get under there and rotate the wheels?

it sounds a *bit* like my inner u joint that went. sounds real loud.

given that u just did the hub work, and greased it, id be looking for other things. soundsike something large and visible hitting something if u could get under. if u dont hear anything with it jacked think about the suspension being loaded and u should see SOMEthing showing wear marks. parking break cable?? is it out of the holding bracket?

Took your advice and jacked it up on both sides and turned the wheels and it is definitely the u joint. It's weird because it didn't move at all before. It's this here:

Moves like a sob. Is this an easy job? Also can I keep driving it like this until I get it fixed?

great. not hard. mark camber bolts good. u joint strap bits give bit of trouble. 8mm i think. jack up safe and good to go. will need to rotate tires to bring other side of ubolt straps. post with questions.

It's not hard to change them. Here's an excellent thread that goes through it, just go through the point of pulling the axels: http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/foru...d.php?t=144562

Additionally, I'm a bit of a nervous Nelly when it comes to pressing the old joints out and having aluminum half shafts. I have a hydraulic press and made up a tool that allows you to press against only one side of the U-joint at one time, reducing the chance of bending anything.

Hope that helps.

I had the same noise coming from the back and it was stabilizer bushings. Good Luck!

Having some trouble with the tie rod end and the lower control arm. Removed the outer bolt on the control arm. Should I loosen the inner bolt too? Trying to avoid doing that so I don't mess up the camber. Also I took out the nut on the tie rod end. Seems stuck. Do I just hit it until it comes out?

What part of the tie rod? If it is on the hub back the nut off and hit it or get a pickle fork.

parts store will loan a fork. Block it good to keep it from bouncing.
