Default 1986 runs rough

Any help? 86 runs rough. Runs like it has a miss. Seems like cylinders 1&2 aren't firing. With it running if u drip water on the manifolds at ea cylinder the water dissipates immediately except on 1&2. It is getting spark I checked that. The injectors r pulsing u can feel that. I unplugged the front ones on the drivers side while it was running and it didn't change the way it ran. So I'm hoping maybe injectors are clogged. They were changed apparently by the previous owner. The only code it's throwing is for the IAT sensor would that cause it to run this crappy or does it go much deeper? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I pulled the wires off put plugs in when it's running there is a good spark. The plugs were pretty dry blackish brown like all the rest of them. No compression check yet

OK in the meantime until you do the compression test have you looked at the wires & cap? you could be a victim of a weak spark or cracked cap cross arching, you may have spark at plug end but is it a strong spark. Are your plug wires oil soaked or showing any signs of possible arching?

I just bought a new set of wires and a distributor cap. Gonna put those on here shortly and check for vacuum leaks also bought a new IAT sensor. Gonna change that too. That was the only code it threw was the IAT

Sounds like you have the spark plug wires for #1 and #3 swapped. The plugs are firing, just not at the correct time.

Somethings to consider since your a junior member I'm assuming this 86 is new to you.
Check the wiring harness connectors for bare/exposed wiring.
If your fussing around the vacuum lines chances are you'll crack some. Pickup a foot or tube of small rubber vacuum line to repair those cracked sections.

Your problem plugs are they next to each other or on opposite sides in your post #1 and #2 that would make them the front two Cyl. opposite sides, which would give Cliffs idea some more weight that they could be swapped by the Cap they are next each other there and warrants a good look

or if you take Cliffs Scenario swapped down by the plugs #1 & #3 Left front 2 Cyl.

I meant #1 and #2, and they would be swapped at the distributor cap.
