Cold Air Intake

Cold Air Intake
I've searched the interwebs and here and I cannot find even one Cold Air intake for an L98 C4.
I'd like to keep the MAF and not have to reprogram the ECM. Everything I read says L98 is choked bad, but there seems to be little aftermarket solutions.
Other than putting a K&N filter in and cutting on the filter box ( Bubba !!!) what is there ???

I would just leave it alone if you really want to get more power HP costs.

Sure but if you cannot expel the spent gases, what is the point? If you really want to do something somewhat meaningful, do the intake after the MAF and the exhaust. After that you can do programming, followed by heads and cam.

Aklim,
It has a new exhaust and ypipe. I know, still stock headers for now.
Are you referring to the piece that goes from the MAF to the throttle body ? That should not be too big a deal.
Is it also worth while when doing the radiator flush to bypass the coolant going through the throttle body also. I have read there are gains to be got there too.

There are "cold" air intakes available for the C4. Most are not cold air; they draw their air from the same place as the stock intake. Most cost ~250-$300....which is an awful lot of money for a part that won't make any meaningful improvement. Put that money toward long tube headers.

I think a cut stock air lid will be more than enough, I've seen a lot of modded ZR1s and guys with 383s running with basically stock/cut air lids with maybe a K&N filter.
I have the AO Engineering intake but I happen to also like the looks and I got a good deal on a new one (NOS) from John on here (good guy).
