The Timken rear wheel bearings that I replaced on my c4 were made in the USA. This was about a year ago.
Either one is a quality replacement. I got mine from RA

Proven method to find the right bearing disassemble the equipment I look at what bearing requires replacement, measure it and drive these dimensions on the site https://bestbearing.com.ua and by results I already call or immediately order.
There is delivery and always prompt.

A .ua website is in the Ukraine, as is Kharkov overseas.
As far as where they are manufactured, all over the world. A lot of the bearings say "assembled in USA".

SKF is a Swedish brand with manufacturing in 24 countries. SKF invented the spherical ball bearing back in 1907. The spherical roller bearing followed in 1918.

I have 2 Timkens in the rear and one in the front, been in the car for 11 years and 65,000 miles.. So I would have to say Timken is a good bearing... My buddy PLRX uses the SKF and has never had a problem either... So either one will last....WW

SKF and Timken are the best you can buy. I sell them for a living. You can find cheaper but you can't find any better.

In the world of Fender Stratocasters, the top tier are made in the US, 2nd tier in Mexico and the 3rd, overseas. I would rather have someone getting paid to make something in Mexico, than slave labor (or the next thing to it) from China.

The last SKF I bought was from RockAuto, in June of 2018, it was marked "Made in Korea", and it lasted exactly 28 low speed autocross runs (one weekend). Called SKF and was told their bearings are made at plants all over the world and they are all built to the same quality standards. "Yea, right"
My SKF's that were marked "made in the USA" are still on the car and fine, two rears and the other front. Lasted two years of autocrossing and still going.
Trying a MOOG from my local autoparts store, with a 3 year warranty, if turns out to be junk, I can at least get 1 or 2 free replacements, it's also marked "made in Korea"
I wish I could find a "new in box" SKF made in the USA, but sadly, I think those days are gone.

Back in 83 I had a TI-54 calculator that had "MADE IN USA" on the back. How cool. IC chips were made in the Philippines, Taiwan, etc. The Chinese can make it as good or maybe even better and cheaper than we ever did. The only question is whether you will commission such a job. Obviously, it comes with a higher price tag if it is made better but if you want cheap and good, take a flight to "Fantasy Island". Don't mind Tattoo (Hervé Jean-Pierre Villechaize). He is a little stiff.
