Default Fuel Injector supplier?

Instead of resurrecting an old thread, who or where is the best place to buy new fuel injectors? My car is a '88. I'm going to have the intake apart soon and figured on replacing them anyway. Plus it has a long crank time with cold starts after the car has sat a few days or more. (Note, car does have a new C.T.S. and F.P., the other long crank issues I think have been covered there.) Also note, the long crank only happens if the car has sat for 3 days or more.

Thanks in advance! Info, advice and/or links much appreciated!

I forget. Does the 88 have a cold start injector or not? If they do, Send it to FIC for a cleaning and testing

It is virtually impossible to 'rebuild' a fuel injector. Cleaned and flowed used ones yes. When I wash and fold my clothes I am not rebuilding them same with the dishes...

FIC has a youtube vid showing the spray pattern of the new style Bosch 3's vs the old oem injectors.Very interesting if you want to know what is really going on in your engine. The finer the fuel is atomized the better the burn-it should not be leaving the engine unburnt.

If you have Rochester injectors as stock, why not just have them refurbished.

Unless an injector has a solenoid failure (rare), all you need is a clean and new filters.. The tables refer to my own '87's injectors when I refurbed the whole fuel system. I paid about $80 for all eight to be done.

That is impressive. Mine are not that good after 3 years. About 30cc difference.

I have wondered where the never ending supply of used ones come from to be candid. It is not like a tune up item that is routinely changed. If a V8 and swapped out because running bad that is a 1 in 8 failure rate at least. Am I the only person that asks themselves these questions?

Cores? I sell my old stuff away or trade up sometimes. Mechanics have been tossing good stuff out all day long with misdiagnosis?

There are plenty of idiots. Also, scraped cars might be another source
