Default Intake bolts

I butchered two of the intake manifold bolts, so I need to replace them. Anyone know what size they are and can I use a different type other then the torx head type.

I went with ARP. The stock Torx head intake bolt are low profile. You must buy similar types. I bought a 3/8 inch standard head. Some places around the runners I could not use the chrome washer that come with the kit.

I did the same thing on my five. I cannot remember the dimensions, I just took the bull to the hardware store and matched and the length. I bought a great find on the nickel plated, plain Jane. I torqued it exactly the same as the others working great so far.

Hexagonal Torques head bolts. You can buy the whole set on Ebay with the long socket to reach the hard to get at bolts.Best and easiest thing you can do for putting your runners on.

(my 2-cents, FWIW) -- if we are talking about the lower intake manifold bolts, the correct "factory" length is 3/8-16 x 1.125 - a bit of an oddball length and not readily available at the local hardware stores. original GM p/n 14091547. not sure how critical the length is though. 1.00 or 1.25 most likely would work, but i'd check for any length interference issues. HOWEVER, you can still get originals. seems that they are still available from any GM dealer. also, google "bolt 14091547" - several places list them - even summit racing. there are several fleabay listings for used - $16/set(shipped) -
