i have an 86 tpi car. i managed to bend many of my pushrods and my block has a crack. i found an 89 tpi car this one does not have a mass air flow sensors. what other issues would i run into putting in this engine?

Nothing, use the 1989 chip and all will be well.

make sure you get the MAP sensor and associated plumbing/wiring with the TPI.

Im pretty sure the MAF wiring can be adapted to the MAP sensor, they both use 3 wires, 2 x being 5v and an earth.
In the EBL conversions you just change the plug on the end of the wires to suit the MAP sensor.
then as suggested use the 89 chip to run it.

disclaimer - I have never done this conversion so hopefully someone with some real world experience chimes in !

The only real difference between 86 and 89, is the 89 did not have a cold start injector, both are MAF cars.
Stick your 86 intake and MAF etc, onto the 89, or use the 89 intake and get a 89 chip.
