door glass wont stay in up position
my 86 vette door window wont stay up, i can pull it up all the way and close door then it slowly slides down
just got the car belonged to my dad who passed,OH YES POWER SWITCH TO IT ISNT WORKING EITHER

There is no easy answer but most likely glass is loose from regulator ....why? You need to remove trim panel and see why. Switch is most likely a different issue unless motor and regulator are missing, and block of wood holding window up fell out....you don't want to know....

The 86 may have the ribbon that can break at any time, I believe they went to a normal type regulator from 87.
Is an easy upgrade to the faster and more reliable 87-96 regulators.
