Default Best headers for a 1990??

Hi everyone, I have a 1990 C4 vette, L98 motor and the ZF6 transmittion (6 speed), I would like to know what are the best headers I can buy for my car. Right now it has the stock manifolds on and the EGR broke off on the passanger side, I figured I can take the manifold off, and weld the EGR back on, do an EGR block off kit, or just get new headers. Not sure what to do, so any and all advice would be awesome!!

TPIS makes some of the best headers for our C4's. Call them , don't email . They have choices for EGR and EGR eliminations. You will be able to utilize your factory brackets in most cases with the TPIS headers.

There are other choices out there, but I like TPIS for quality fit and finish for C4's. Good luck!

I like it for how easily I do my annual spark plug change and how the wires don't have issues. Easy install was a huge plus.

I have a 1994 4A. Only caveat with mine was cylinder #2 tube touched motor mount. This might set off your knock sensor retarding timing. I also did a cam swap and went with full roller rockers, so that might be what was setting my sensors off. Install was easy and you can use factory bolts, if you want.

I have Hooker Supercomps I bouight in the black color and then had them professionally coated. It wound up costing as much as the coated headers do stock and the coating is way better than the Hooker coating. That was a tip from a fellow forum member and boy was he right. The coating I have on there now has survived tons of abuse at the track and is still in great shape. Fit was great. I only had to grind off the very end of the motor mount bolt on the passenger side as it was just about 50 thousandths from the header and I wanted more clearance. Bolt access is all easy except the rear passenger side due to AC box. BTW, my car is a '91 L98/ZF6 - I now have dual 3" exhaust with an x-pipe hanging off these headers and they work great. Feel free to contact me with any questions or if you want pictures, etc.
