Power passenger seat never worked
I recently purchased a 96 polo green convertible with 42 options on the data sheet located behind the passenger seat. It took a while but after joining your site and lots of research found there were only 20 manufactured with the polo green, beige interior, F45 suspension and the LT4 6 speed like I purchased. Made me feel pretty good about my purchase. The first thing I was able to get from the forum was the passenger seat did not work. After following the instructions I found here I removed the seat cushions and found the two wring harnesses and reversed them. Both work great now. What is amazing is that it came from the factory wrong and for 20 years no one thought it had a power passenger seat because the lumbar portion worked for both seats when switched. Thank you all for your great posts that and hope someday I can make a contribution that will be helpful to others on the site.

Good job, many have reversed those plugs when taking out the seats, best to put some kind of identifier on them so it will not happen again.
