87 corvrttr melting wires related to fuel pump??

A link to a free PDF of the '87 service manual has been posted a few times in the parts for sale section. The wire is the fusable link. It did it's job. The black plastic piece is just the connection.

Manual is correct just get us some snapshots that we can use. The relay that is "white" likely has a part # on it. What is that part #? What is the bolt and flange to the left in the snapshot?

Brake fluid ran down the loom. I was parked and I keep checking for why it was leaking must have filled it up 3-4 times

Not sure but may have to transmission to get all the wires

Manual at shop I was told purple wire from mass airflow. Is a degraded wire affecting others. Coming from jump start junction box area

Looks like brake fluid is the culprit . In the end found many more wires that were corroding. Added more fusible links to replace the melted ones . Wrapping and putting into a new loom. Will see tomorrow.

Still a work in progress. Hope to finish soon. I am busy at work my friend has it in his shop. He has been working on it in the evenings
