Default Idle Speed

Where can I buy a chip to raise my Idle speed.I finally got my 400 running. every thing is good accept with the new cam The Idle is to low.Thanks,Steve

Steve, Congrats! on the 1st start-UP. you need to specify a specific year EFI platform. for the eprom.
Example 85 = 2732A<> 86 - 89 = 27C128<> 90 - 93 = 27C256<> 94 - 95 = flash = direct programing<> 96 1st year true OBD II = direct programing. you will need a tuner! you will need a lot more than simply raising the idle<

Thanks Admiral.Mine is an 87 so I assume Its the 86-89 27C128<>

that is correct. the OE is burnt via UV. the mod is DEsoldering. then installing a EEprom. you can install Atmel AT29c256 OR 512 chips. actually slightly quicker access time. this allows UNlimited burns to the EEprom. along with CATS or tunerPRO and a USB to OBD I adapter OR OBD I / II "Y" adapter. data logging is a must. capturing with something like Datamaster. and sending the results. off to a bench tune. Close. or actually doing live tunes on a DYNO. for Optimal results.
