87 Fuel Schrader Valve
The valve core on my fuel pressure Schrader valve is leaking. I tried reseating the core, but it still leaks. Here is my question:
ACDelco lists the replacement valve kit as 17110854 (discontinued) for 85-89. Rockauto lists the ACDelco 217-388 (17112759) (still available) for 92-93.
Will the 217-388 kit fit my 87?

I might be tempted to try a ACD 12570619 - I've never seen an application for it that related to early systems BUT I've never needed one so I ain't tried. If it's more than just the core and actually the seat in the fitting then I'd think it's unlikely but maybe worth an effort. Post back!
***Schrader/Bridgeport might likely also service the core BUT AGAIN I've never needed so I ain't looked.

Pull the valve core out and match it up.

Considered that... hoped there was just a valve core part number but could not find one.
Valve core has to withstand fuel.... I don't believe tire valve cores can tolerate fuel.
Don't have a source for "fuel" valve cores.
Any suggestions?

Why not just put a permanent fuel gauge on it. No more leak and never have to look for your gauge again.
Or try NAPA

OP - yes there are FUEL rated valves.
Here's a Schrader catalog with types, take the top 3 "fuel rated" to a local vendor.

Schrader mentions and I remember conversations that once you remove a core from the valve you DO NOT REUSE - replace!!
