Are there shops that still rebuild these? I could be wrong (since I have one I hope so) but I thought I read recently there are parts needed for a total rebuild that are no longer available.

SK Speed in New York still does and has a lot of factory tooling, literature, parts, etc and purchased the entire 4+3 side of Medatronics. They have done hundreds of 4+3s, I believe at a cost of $2500 for both T-10 and OD sections. Autozone carries a rebuilt OD unit from Midwest for under $1800, and other users on here seem to have brought their cars to that shop. I can't recall any others but I have heard of other shops undertaking the rebuild. I am considering sending mine to SK at a price that could be enough to 'total' the car at the moment... need to be sure that the problem is what I think it is with that price tag, though!

Even though my '84 only has 36k miles, good info to know.
