I received a lot of great knowledge.. I appreciate that.. but do you think the problem could be in the sending/pump unit, Reason I say this I put 12 vdc to the plug of the sending unit direct and nothing... Thanks all

Default Similar problem but not really

Hey guys, i was just curious, i noticed a ground on the fuel pump assembly and ive replaced the pump, im getting power all the way to the wire connecting to the pump but the pump isnt priming or sending fuel. I do not have it bolted to the tank, does that ground on the assembly ground to the gas tank itself in order for it to work? I’ve run out of ideas on what could be stopping the fuel pump from working, its my 3rd one and i have replaced the relay already. Any input helps, thanks guys
