My comment is based on the convertibles being intermixed in production with the coupes. there wasn't a pile of roller L98s that got plugged into only rag tops. Rollers were more of a hard break in production than a running change.
Yes I'd think but amount gets debated/argued from time to time. How difficult to source correct lubricants there in CZ? Is that the correct Country Code or is it CZE?
I'd think there's better choices for the oil. You mentioned buying here in the US and shipping yourself so if it was from the OWNER and not a broker reach out and see what he used.

What 10W-30 oils are available in CZ?
The previous owner used Mobil 1 full synthetic 5W-30.
10W-30 almost nothing, I found just Petro-Canada Supreme online, but I might be able to order VALVOLINE® FULL SYNTHETIC at local oil shop.
in general oils, that are normally available are:
Castrol, Liqui Moly, Mobil 1, Valvoline, Total
Fully synthetic oils designed for VW, Audi and Skoda PD (Pumpe Deuse) diesel engines have good anti wear additives.
That particular range of engines had issues with wear on the diesel injection pumps if the incorrect oils were used. With the corect oil, they are almost bullet proof. The spec is VW 505.01. The latest spec low SAPS oil is 507.00. These are what I use.
