Default what are the cc sof a 89 head and a lt1 head

have a lt1 short blk I know I have to change the front of the motor to a standard old school small blk ., my ? is I want to put the heads and intake off my 89. what will the compression be . what is the difference in cc s between the 2

My stock 89 113 heads were 58cc.

Iirc, aluminum l-98 is 58, and lt-1 is 55.

..... Heads from an L98 will not work on an LT1 block .....

Many sources that have measured aluminum LT1 heads state 54cc

a fella named trevor gave greg who works for zr51 performance gave greg the parts to convert it . where are the block numbers located I will ck them and get back with everyone

this is my first standard vet my other is a 90 zr1 so I am a rookie on standard small blk stuff. I have a message into greg to find out more also .

This old Hotrod article may help explain some of the differences.

If you are trying to build a small block chevy using a small block chevy block will be cheaper than converting an LT1 block to fit SBC components....
