Default 36 lb Bosch Injector Retainers

Bought a set of 36 lb Bosch Injectors of my 95. Apparently they need a different style than retainer than my stock injectors. Any chance this is something I can pick up at Orielly's?

Are you talking about the retainer that clips into side of injector?
I havent used those in years as the rail pushed the injectors down. I have use 30# Fords, 36#GM and now 42 # GM Gen3? LS type injectors.

Yes. My 60 lb seimens injectors had a groove like the factory injectors. The 36 lb Bosch injectors only have a groove around part of the injector and its 90 degrees off of where it needs to be for the factory clips to work.

I've read several posts of people not using the clips, but if I can pick up some clips that work I'd rather just do that.

FICs instructions for Bosch IIIs in a GM say not to reuse the retainers (As Krackenvette stated they are not needed)

My Bosch injectors did not come with instructions from FIC. Can you send me a PDF?

I'll check to see if I still have it (actually think I threw them out on Friday)basically recommended installing them (bosch III) in manifold first and then into the fuel rail.

If you did buy from FIC, I highly doubt they use retainers. It would be best if they did though.
