Default C5 Rims

Hi Everyone,

I'm going to pick up OEM C5 rims for my 84 tonight. I know I will need spacers. Do any of you know off the top of your head what size or best/cheapest place to pick them up/order?

Anything else I should know/look for?

Someone linked me a calculator for this on the last set of rims I asked but I'm having a terrible time getting the search to bring up my old posts.

That's the one I used. I think the OEM c5 wheels are 56mm whereas the 84 OEM wheels are 36? I bought mine off Ebay with good success.

Great. Just wanted to be sure there were not other issues. Thanks!

A couple different ways to find your posts, top right [USER ID] there's a "drop-down" that has "MY POSTS" or on your AVATAR to the left there's a "find more posts by" ...............

I think you just need to be first concerned that you're actually buying either OE/GM wheels or maybe replica - there's casting information on nearly all aluminum wheels that can ID Them. You need to be sure I guess that they're all of the same style! A pair of matching for the fronts and a matching pair for the rears!

All of the wheels should have width and offset information on the back-side also - check for cracks and fractures. some C5 thin-spokes I believe had issues!!

Yes those are @65 for offset and GM/OE - check carefully for cracks/fractures.

Ended up getting them. They fit without rubbing but definitely need spacers to get them out a bit. Was late last night so I didn't measure anything but I'm guessing 3/4. Look really good. Fender gap seems to be a bit more in the front though so I might need to do something to get it corrected but it was late so I called it a day. Thanks for all the help again as usual!

3/4 inches sounds about right. I have 20 mm spacers in the back and 18 mm in the front. And looks good. (although I'm going back to Sawblades with next set of tires).

I was concerned about the stud length so was going to try to measure tonight to make sure it wouldn't be an issue. The spacers you run are ok and still have enough room to get lug nuts on a decent amount?

Stud length is not sufficient. You need either new studs or a spacer system with integrated new studs like the wheel spacer system 3 from SCC.
