i noticed this when I did my wheel bearing on the passenger side and when I went to torque the axel nut. Shifter was in park. I assume my wheels should not be able to move. My passenger side axel rotated when I went to torque the axel nut. This shouldn't happen should it? By chance could this be a broken spider gear? 89 corvette with 3.07 Dana 36.

I had someone hold the brakes when I torqued for my rear bearing, you can porb use your p-brake if it's good.

If both rear tires were off the ground, then things make sense. If the LH tire was on the ground while he was tightening the RH spindle nut, then there's something amiss.
Just trying to understand what the OP was doing.
