What's the non platinum AC Delco plug for the LT1
Title pretty much says it all.
I've run NGK TR55's with out any trouble at all, along with Autolite 106's.
Both of these can be had in any variety, platinum, iridium, etc, etc. AC Delco however doesn't seem to want to admit that they have an LT1 plug that isn't a platinum. I say that's a load of crap, there has to be a non platinum plug of the same heat range, they just don't list it for our application.
41-904 is the Platinum plug, what's the regular number? 41-604 would be too easy.

Re: What's the non platinum AC Delco plug for the LT1 (satyr7777)
OK this is courtesy of my Haynes manual...
Factory spec plugs for C4:
1984- AC R45TS
1985-87 with iron heads- AC R43CTS
1987- 1991 with aluminum heads- AC FR5LS
1992 and "later"- AC 41-906
Some years ago I went to buy plugs for my C4, and was told that the only ones "available" were plats or some silly multiple electrode "hokus-pocus" plugs (as a friend of mine calls them)- I got rapidfires, liked them and they're all I use anymore. For an LT1 you can use #3,8,12 or 14. Like I said before- if you want to try some for $18 a set, (shipped)- let me know. Take care- J

Of the 4 choices on rapid fires, which are the stock heat range? Don't suppose you'd take paypal?

New Rapidfire's are a platinum plug, same number as the old copper Radipfires that are no longer made.
However, I think the plat Rapidfires are a good plug and do not have the dreaded AC/Delco puck.
